She retired as a secretary for the Edgewood School District in 1992.
Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, Adolfo and Caritina Canales.
Lydia is survived by her four children Richard Bazan Olivia, Loralie Alfaro Mike, Reuben Bazan Catherine Leila Reyes Gilbert, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. You will always be in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be on Tuesday August 5, 2008 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:30 P.M. in the Porter Loring Chapel on McCullough
