She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel C. Castaneda Jr. and Carmen Campista Castaneda; husband, Thomas Leonard Southern.
Lydia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Danialle S. and Felipe Contreras; son, Christopher L. Southern; grandchildren, Liliana Sky Southern and Haley Grace Southern; siblings, Dolores Castaneda, Manuel Castaneda and Lucinda Levia.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
