Lydia Jasso Tamez born August 17, 1925, died peacefully on January 25, 2016, at the age of 90, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Genoveva Ramirez Jasso, her husband Raul Tamez, her son Saul Tamez, and her siblings, Jesus, Frank, Joe, Trini, Anita, Tomas, Tony, and Isabel.
Lydia was active in the Business and Professional Women's Club, the Council of Presidents BPW, and the Salvation Army Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughters, Sonya Lentz (Roger) and Sylvia Tamez; granddaughters Joanna Brandenburg (Ben) and Naomi Lentz; great-granddaughter Harper Brandenburg; beloved "son" Alfredo Martinez; sister in law, Dorothy Jasso; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and Godchildren.
A rosary will be recited at Porter Loring on McCullough on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 7:30 pm.
Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 8134 Blanco Rd. on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2.
