Prathey Lee Lefear and Thelma Rodgers were blessed with their first son, Mack Charles Jackson on December 15, 1957, in Houston, Texas. His childhood was spent in Houston, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Texas City, Texas. He spent many happy times with his brothers and sisters and many family members including his namesake, M.C. In 1975 and 1976 he welcomed Dominic De'Shon Clay and Shandra A. Clay.
In 1977, he joined the U.S. Army. Soon after, he met the love of his life, Nancy Linn, in Baumholder, West Germany. He would say many times over the years that when he first saw her he knew one day she would be his wife. On November 14, 1981, they exchanged vows in Reno, Nevada and began their journey together. Those who knew him knew he lived for his wife. In 1983, Mack and Nancy were blessed with their first child, Nicolette Roshel and in 1986, they were again blessed with their second daughter, Adrienne Lynn.
The family spent many years traveling with the Army including Maryland, back to Germany, and Texas, before settling in San Antonio, Texas in 1999. A man not afraid to get his hands dirty, Mack worked diligently to provide for his family as a diesel mechanic. He laughed with, lived for, and loved on his family. He was a member of Faith Alone Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thelma Rodgers and Prathey Lee Lefear.
His legacy will be carried on by his wife Nancy; his children Dominic Clay and Shandra Clay of Texas City, Texas, Patrick and Nicolette Hernandez of Converse, Texas, and David and Adrienne Grogan of San Antonio, Texas; his grandchildren Mariah, Daliyah, Paige, Bailie, Kamille, Kaden, Jaeda, Karissa and Micah; one great-granddaughter Aubrey; his brothers and sisters; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends and 3 dogs.
