

She was born in Hattiesburg,
Mississippi and as a child, her family moved to San Antonio. Madelyn was a lifetime
member of Temple Beth El.
She enjoyed painting, traveling and a good game of cards. She was a person who, through her volunteerism, contributed significantly to the community.
As a homemaker, she was dedicated to her children and loved watching her grandchildren grow. She inspired our family with kindness, love, a gentle soul and a generous spirit.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Eva (Shor) Greenburg; her brother, Robert; her two husbands: Ben Ruttenberg and William Goldfein and her beloved cat, Prissy.
Madelyn is survived by her children: Frank Ruttenberg, Jaclyn Roth, Neil Ruttenberg and wife, Carol Oblath; six wonderful grandchildren: Blair and David Roth, De'Wayne Brooks, Grace Ruttenberg, Benjamin Ruttenberg and his wife, Doren and Zane Ruttenberg; one precious great granddaughter, Madelynn Roth and two stepdaughters: Anne Bellamy and Debra Sklar.
