Magdalena “Nena” De La Cruz, of 1607 El Paso St., entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at age 84, born on July 22, 1932; she is preceded in death by her beloved parents Dolores Torres & Jose Maria De La Cruz; sister, Maria De Jesus De La Cruz, & brother, Alfredo De La Cruz. Nena worked at Edgar Tobin Aerial Surveys where she received recognition for 20 years of faithful service. She was very close with her mother “Lola & sister “Chita”. They were inseparable, a parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, very loving to animals and had a great compassion for plants. Nena spent much of her time tending to her garden. She will be missed. The Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm. to 9:00 pm., Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.2.
