Maidie R. Alpert, age 86, died on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. She is preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Sumner M. Alpert, USAF and parents, Frank Rubin and Gussie Finesilver Bryant. Maidie is survived by her sons, Alan Alpert; Brad Alpert and wife, Abigail, daughter, Cheri Reynolds and husband, Louie; grandchildren, Ryan Reynolds, Daniel and Samuel
Maidie was a loving, courageous mother who raised three children on her own after being widowed at the age of 32. She loved to sing and brought the joy of music into the lives of her children through her beautiful singing voice. She was not only a mother but a friend, confidant and advisor to her children throughout her life. She was always there to give her comfort and support in times of need. Her love and devotion to her children and grandchildren enriched their lives immensely. She passed away surrounded by her family. May her memory serve as an inspiration and blessing to all of us.
