Manuel Paulino Cruz born in Villadama, Mexico on June 22, 1923, went to be with the Lord on May 10, 2010 at the age of 86.
Mr. Cruz is survived by his wife of 64 years, Corina B. Cruz; daughter, Laura Garza David; son, Manuel Cruz, Jr Christina; daughters, Bertha Molina Rodolfo, and Norma Cadena Jimmy; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and his sister, Lupita Ashley.
Mr. Cruz retired from Kelly AFB after 35 years of service and from the Army after 30 years of service. Mr. Cruz enjoyed going to Corpus Christi with his family and friends where he loved to fish, go swimming and enjoyed the sites.
His favorite sport was wrestling. Every time wrestling came to town he always went to see the matches. He always sat next to the aisle and he would get so involved in the matches that he would challenge the wrestlers to a match. The wrestler he always wanted to wrestle was Jose Lothario.
Mr. Cruz lived life to the fullest and he was proud of what his family accomplished from sports to their professional careers. Mr. Cruz was also an excellent automobile mechanic. After his health would not allow him to work anymore, we would call him and he would tell you what the problem was and how to fix it.
Mr. Cruz will be missed by all whose heart he touched. Rest in Peace Mr. Cruz and thanks for the great times you gave us. You will always be in our hearts. Until we meet again.
