I would like to express my sympathy to the family. I hope you are finding comfort in the time you spent with your dear loved one. Please find comfort in the hope expressed in the Bible at Revelation 21:3,4 where it tells us that mourning, pain, and death will be things of the past. Even Jesus confirms this promise at John 5:28,29 where he says that those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. I hope you find comfort in this hope. Mr. Pena was a ray of sunshine at The Village at Incarnate Word. The bounce in his step and smile on his face brought joy to many residents here. May he enjoy life with God forever!

Manual and Ana, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. We were just speaking about him last month being at the retirement center here at UIW. It is strange when parents leave us as they pass on to a new life. We speak of them and continue to speak of them as we go on with our lives. It helps us deal with the loss and helps us continue on in their stead. I am sorry I could not be with you today or last evening. I have been sick and would have made some people sick. I am getting better and would like us to get together with you as well as Susan and Doug soon. It was in great sadness that I read of your Fathers' death. My own Daddy died on the first day of this Spring, so I know well of the empty place in your heart. Your Father was a kind and contemplative gentleman not too different from my Dad. The world will be a lesser place for the loss of his presence.

"Manny" and I had lunch not too long ago at LaScala where we re-visited the "good old days" at "The Alps" restaurant where he, I, Freddy Semaan, Jim and Jack Onion, Harry Nass, "Hippo", Jimmy Gillespie, Pat Henley, et al would tell "tall tales" Saturday afternoons over hamburgers and beer. "Manny", good friend, I miss you. Tell all those old friends 
up there in the "Alps in the Sky ..... "hello" for old Charlie.

Manuel was much loved by his family. They often shared stories of his life and success with friends. We will hold the Pena family in our prayers.

I was so sad to hear about your Dad this morning. My Mom worked with him for so long, and he was always so good to her, that he's always felt like such a huge part of our family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely,

Mr. Pena was a dear sweet man. He always had the kindest demeanor and true old world manners. I didn't know him well, but he brought up a loving daughter who, I know, will miss him much. May he rest in peace with his beloved wife.
