She was active in the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and very active in the Church. Mrs. Navarro loved art, classical music and was an avid reader until she suffered a stroke 14 years ago.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sylvia Navarro and sister, Helen Saenz; Survivors: husband, Angel Navarro; son, John Navarro; son, Richard Navarro; daughter, Mary Alice Hoover; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, John Cavazos and Hector Cavazos; sister, Anna Maria Perez.
