Marcela S. Rodriguez, born on November 2, 1934 in Seguin, Texas went to be with our Lord on May 7, 2022 at the age of 87. Mrs. Rodriguez worked in food services at Northside Independent School District however she was active in the Guadalupanas and the Ladies of Auxiliary Divine Providence Catholic Church. Marcela had a passion for her family, cooking, gardening and God.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Joe F. Rodriguez; son, Victor; daughter, Mary Ann Cirilo; grandson, Nicholas Aleman; brother, Ruben Silva, parents, Lucas Silva and Refugia Cirilo; and step – mom Narcisa Silva.
She is survived by her children Jose (Cindy) Rodriguez, Olga Rodriguez, Oscar (Belia) Rodriguez, Frank (Kristy) Rodriguez; daughter-in-law, Lorrie Rodriguez, Mark (Michelle) Rodriguez; 28 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and sisters Oralia Sanchez and Mary Ann Silva.
She will be truly missed by family and friends.
The Visitation will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237 with a rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. The funeral procession will be departing on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 9:15a.m. for mass at Divine Providence Catholic Church on 5667 Old Pearsall Rd 78242. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. II.
