She worked at SAS Shoes for over 30 years, where she wrote the factory store newsletter. Marcella was the past president of the Ohio Chapter of UDC, a member of the DAR and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death her parents, Charles W. and Mary Hoelscher Shamel and beloved husband, Dale O. Turner.
Marcella is survived by her daughter, Linda Dohm; grandson, J.T. Dohm; granddaughter, Jessica LaBrie and her husband, CMDR Walter LaBrie, USN; great-grandchildren, Turner LaBrie and Schaefer LaBrie; sister, Dorothy Chapman; niece, Debbie Simmons and nephew, Tom Chapman.
