Margaret Marie Connell, age 93, of San Antonio, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019. She was born on August 12, 1925 in Greenville, SC to Elwin and Marie Cox Phillips. Margaret graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington D.C. She was an avid golfer and world traveler who set foot on every continent. She was a resident at the Army Residence Community for 20 years which became her home base while traveling the world. Margaret was a proud General's wife and was very honored to host numerous events. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, General George Connell and her brother, Elwin Phillips and his wife, Stacia. Margaret is survived by her nephew and niece.
