Margaret Leyva Hernandez

On Saturday, June 13, 2020, Margaret Leyva Hernandez, loving wife and mother, was received by angels to enter heaven at the beautiful age of 90. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years, Heriberto Hernandez, children, Elizabeth Narvaiz and Thomas Balderas, and her sister, Maria Leyva Kierstead. She will also be fondly remembered by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and countless loving family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18th at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Trevino funeral home - 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. On Friday, June 19th chapel services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow.

Margaret’s loved ones adored her fiery spirit, strong will, and infectious laugh. Throughout 90 years of life, she enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, expressed creativity through crafting and decorating, and was one of the best cooks and bakers in South San Antonio. Margaret will be dearly, dearly missed by many loved ones, a su casa era casa para todos, siempre.
