Margaret R Scharbrough

Margaret R. Scharbrough, age 68, of San Antonio, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019. She was born February 6, 1951 in Frankfort, Indiana to the late John Robert and Regenia (Brown) Stroud, Jr. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1969 and earned her Bachelor degree in Accounting in 1995. Throughout her life she lived in Indiana, Texas, Oklahoma and Nevada.

Margi loved holidays and family get-togethers, any chance to spend time with family or friends was important to her. She enjoyed traveling, especially with the love of her life. She loved cooking and baking, the holiday treats she handed out as gifts will be missed by many. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Larry Allen Scharbrough, sister, Regina Briscoe and brother, John Stroud. She is survived by her children, Meredith (Tony) Piechota of San Antonio and Matt Morgan of Davenport, Iowa, grandchildren, Brock Piechota, Ashton Piechota, Jake Piechota, Peyton Piechota, Bradon Scharbrough, Brynne Scharbrough and Katelyn Scharbrough, sister, Dee (Mike) Goble, brother, Craig Stroud and sister-in-law, Katherine Stroud.

Family is receiving friends at the funeral home in the Sunset North chapel on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from twelve o’clock to one o’clock n the afternoon. Funeral services will commence at one o’clock in the chapel at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, Texas 78232 with Rev. Bill Shockley officiating. A joint Committal service, with Military Honors will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Two-thirty in the afternoon at shelter number three.
