Margarita M. Jacobo

Margarita was born March 3, 1942, in San Antonio, TX to Jose and Margarita Moreno.

She married the love of her life Liborio Jacobo, in their hometown of San Antonio. Where together they built a life rooted in family, faith and community.

Margarita worked as an LVN with dedication and pride at the San Antonio State Hospital for more than 30 years, where she was respected by collages and cherished by those she cared for.

She found joy in traveling, spending time with her family, attending church, and she also enjoyed spending time and caring for her faithful dog (Fluffy).

Margarita is preceded in death by her beloved husband Liborio R. Jacobo, her mother Margarita Moreno, her father Jose Moreno and sister Josephina Moreno and her stepfather Leopoldo C. Chapa.

Margarita is survived by her daughters: Cynthia L. Jacobo and Adriana R. Jacobo; her niece Edith Johnson (Jeff) who was like daughter to her; her brother Rodolfo Moreno Sr (Margie); her sister Gloria Carmona, grandchildren Hillary L. Ball (Aaron), Joel C. Garcia Jr. (Alexis), Braven W. Biggers , Adrian R. Jacobo, Lyric Young, Brandon Young, and Jay Louie, great grandchildren Adyen, Joel III, Jordan Garcia, Liam and Ryan Jacobo as well as numerous nephews and nieces and extended family who will forever cherish her memory.

Pallbearers will be Rodolfo Moreno, Rodolfo Moreno Jr, Jeff Johnson, Joel C. Garcia Jr., Hillary L. Ball and Lyric Young.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home in the Maus Chapel II located at 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218 with a rosary beginning at 6:00 pm.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, January 12, 2026 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church located at 6680 Crestway Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78239 with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the care givers and Vital Caring Home and Health Prodigious Hospice, who supported Margarita with such compassion and dignity.
