

Marguerite Grady Fox, beloved wife, mother and friend, passed away peacefully in San Antonio on May 18th, 2025, at the age of 87. Marguerite, “Margie” to family and childhood friends, was born on April 24, 1938, to Mary Casey and Patrick Grady, Irish immigrants who settled in San Rafael, California. She attended St. Raphael’s Elementary School, Marin Catholic High School and was a proud graduate of Dominican College. She then taught at Santa Margarita School in Terra Linda for five years.
Marguerite married Mike Fox, an Air Force meteorologist, on August 22nd, 1964. After many military assignments all over the world the Fox’s retired in Helotes, Texas to be near their children. They moved to the Blue Skies of Texas retirement community (formerly Air Force Village II), San Antonio, TX in 2002.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, half-brother Robert, half-sister Patricia Riley and sister Nancy McInnis. She is survived by her husband and best friend Mike, three children including daughter Christine Gifford of Dripping Springs, TX, daughter Karen Zabreznik of Bend, OR and son Joe Fox of San Antonio TX, and 4 grandchildren including Sophie and Lucy Gifford, Jacob Fox and Zoey Zabreznik.
Marguerite lived a life of faith and was known for her unwavering kindness to all and her quiet strength. She didn’t have a mean bone in her body and was loved by everyone who met her. She brought so much joy to our lives and will be remembered with love by her family and all her friends.
A Memorial Mass service will be held Monday, June 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Blue Skies of Texas.
The family will have a private Committal Service on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
