Maria Trevino Avila, born on March 9, 1929 in San Antonio, TX was called to be with the Lord on August 31, 2017 at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by her husband, Geronimo Avila. She is survived by her children, Celia A. Rodriguez (Esequiel), Rosendo Avila (Emma), Jesse Avila and Luis Avila; grandchildren, Anthony, Jesse, Ezekiel, Jason and Carlos Avila; great grandchildren, Zoe Rodriguez; also, numerous nieces and nephews. The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017 at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The Service will be conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Interment will follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. The Family would like to thank Kindred Hospice Staff for all their help and support, especially Chaplain Todd, Angela, Cynthia and Crystal Cantrell.
