Maria Cobarruvias Delgado

Maria was born in San Antonio to Isabel Garza on May 5, 1949. Her family called her Queta, due to her given middle name Enriqueta at birth. She attended Fox Tech High School, graduate of 1968. She married Nick Delgado on August 28,1977 in San Antonio, with a beautiful ceremony at the Sunken Gardens Brackenridge Park (Tea Garden). Maria worked as a Dental Assistant for 25 years.

She was involved with the Fox Tech Red Jackets, as well as the Fox Tech Amigas. Maria was a Big Fan of the San Antonio Spurs and a member of the Baseline Bums. Maria had a passion for crafting jewelry, as well as celebrating Fiesta, anything colorful was what she absolutely loved.

Maria had a giving heart, always gifting a gift to friends even when it was Her Birthday, giving gifts to the care givers during her time in care. She loved bringing joy to everyone around her by giving, even though she didn’t realize the joy was having her in our lives, by her giving us her friendship and compassion for life

Maria loved to host gatherings and attending events involving any Alumni Class of Fox Tech High School. Always the social one to bring together old and new friendships. She had many friends still in her life from elementary school. Maria loved her music; music brought her so much joy.

Maria is preceded in death by her mom, Isabel Garza.

Maria is survived by her husband of 47 years, Nick Delgado. Numerous first and second cousins residing in San Antonio and California.
