Maria de Frederics, age 87, passed away on September 23, 2026 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on May 24, 1939 in San Jose, Costa Rica. She was a wonderful mother who took care of her children as a single mother since 1981 (when she was widowed).
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Marco Cabrera and Eugenia Zamora; her husband, Kenneth Frederics; and her son, Kevin Frederics. She is survived by her daughter, Lillian Williams; and her son, Mark Frederics-Cabrera and his partner, Peter Quinn; her grandchildren, Robert Williams, Tracy Williams-Burnette and family, Pattie Williams, Andrea Frederics and her husband, Bernardo Cardena Maltos, and Maria Ana Frederics; and her siblings, Marco Cabrera Zamora, Margarita “Cata” Cabrera Zamora, and Merce Cabrera Zamora; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 8th at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church; 600 Oblate Dr.; San Antonio, TX 78216.
