“Just a mother, grandmother, a wife, a sister, a tia and a servant of God”

Maria De Jesus Gonzalez Martinez went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at the age of 56. She was born in Guadalupe Victoria, Zacatecas, Mexico on January 7, 1965 to her parents, the late Jose Maria Martinez and Elisa Ortega.

She is preceded in death by both parents; her brother, Miguel Angel Martinez; her sister, Baby Elisa; and her brothers-in-law, Jose Perez and Federico Gonzalez.

Maria leaves her memory to her husband, Mauro Gonzalez; her children Mauro Gonzalez Jr., Monica Gonzalez and Mayra Alejandra Gonzalez; her grandchildren Luis Arteaga, Evelynn Gonzalez, Eliana Gonzalez and Abigail Gonzalez. Her siblings, Ema Perez, Abel Martinez (Maria), Valentin Martinez (Berna), Mauricio Martinez (Acela), Jose Martinez (Delia), Carmen Elizalde (Eduardo), Saby Martinez, Martin Martinez (Lupita), Jose Guadalupe Martinez (Mari) and Juan Carlos Martinez (Erika); her sister-in-law, Carmen Martinez. Maria was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and follower of Christ. She married the love of her life and dedicated herself to her family. Maria touched so many lives and always spread so much love wherever she went. She had a smile that lit up the room and her hugs and kisses were always warm and welcoming. This is how she will be remembered always. Her family is extremely grateful to have been blessed with her presence throughout their lives and they pray for her eternal rest with our Lord Jesus Christ.
