Maria Anita Salinas Rendon

Maria Anita Salinas Rendon entered eternal rest on June 13, 2026, at the remarkable age of 101. She was born on May 9, 1925, and lived a long life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories with family and friends.

Maria Anita enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved shopping, thrifting, driving around town, visiting the flea market, and spending time with friends. She never passed up an opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee, a Big Red, or sweet bread. Known for her spirited personality, she lovingly kept her grandchildren on their toes, often scolding them with affection and delighting them by handing out pennies. Her warmth, humor, and strong presence will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Juan G. Rendon; her son, Geofrado S. Rendon and his wife, Dora R. Rendon; and her son-in-law, Alejandro Sanchez.

She is survived by her son, Robert S. Rendon and wife, Beatrice M. Rendon; daughters, Ofelia Sanchez and Sylvia R. Moreno and husband, Frank A. Moreno; grandchildren, Robert Jr., Ronney, Angela, Andrea, Jennifer, Ashley, Kelley, Kate, Jeff, Linda, Rachel, Elias, Efren, Ofelita, Alejanda, Julie, Blanca, Irma, and Alejandro Jr.; 37 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory forever.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. Visitation will continue on Monday, June 22, 2026, beginning at 8:30 a.m. A procession will depart for a 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Jude Catholic Church, 130 S San Augustine Ave, San Antonio, TX 78237. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. 2., 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
