Maria Angela Tovar, born on April 22, 1931 in Alma, TX was called to be with our Lord on January 27, 2016 at the age of 84. She is preceded in death by her husband, David C. Tovar Sr.; son, David C. Tovar Jr.; brother, Ponciano Barrera. She is survived by her children, Beatrice T. Reyes (Robert V.), Herlinda Vasquez (Henry), Rosemarie T. Calderon, Shirley T. Ortiz (Patricio G.), Mark Tovar (Erika), and Michael Tovar (Vivian); grandchildren; Monica, Christopher, Robert A., Ray, John Paul, Chris, Leslie, Brenda, Angela, Richard, Tricia, Michael Jr., Elijah, Elleine, Mark Jr., Sebastian , Aiden and Jaelyn; 14 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rebecca Barrera. The Visitation will begin 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. the Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 9:15 a. m. for a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.2.
