My dearest friend Pat, no words can ever fully express my sincere sadness to hear of your mom's passing ... I know just how special she was to you.  I so hope all your beautiful memories of her bring you some comfort in your darkest hours when you are missing her the most. Thank you to your family for all the beautiful pictures you shared of her.  Her smile was so beautiful and I see so much of her in both you and your sister Sylvia. Aunt Nena we love and miss you.  To all my cousins I’m sorry I couldn’t be there. I just know this was the last of that generation. It’s unbelievable because I remember being real small and all at uncle Frank’s and aunt Licha’s house having a family party. God bless and love you

My condolences to Fernando, Katie, and your entire family, on the passing of such an amazing lady.  She was so proud of you, Fernando, and clearly loved being around you at work.  During the time Helen and I worked together in the Radiology department, she never failed to be a shining light in my day.  She offered friendship, understanding, humor, and fun, in a way I will forever remember.  She took a delight in living that was contagious, and I will miss her.

Pat, (my best friend). I remember when Helen and Mike stayed at our house in El Paso. I had the best time sitting with your mom, her sharing stories of you as a child.  Helen had so much love for you and spoke with such pride on your career accomplishments. At the time, you Pat lived outside of Texas.   Helen said how much she hoped you would come back to Texas.  Pat, know that you gave your mom the best gift by returning to Texas and spent time together.  Luvs. Leo (Lilia) and Gloria.

Our sincere condolences to you  dear friend. Helen was always a mother to us and we loved her dearly. Everyone has fond memories of your mom, an I can honestly say we probably had some of the best. Your mom will be dearly missed no doubt. Our prayers are with you and your entire family and our hearts will always have a place for your mom. Mom I miss you terribly! I became the women I am today because of you. I will always remember your words from the time I was a child "You can do anything". I will always remember your loving words. You were my rock, foundation, and a wonderful mother.  I was proud when people told me I looked identical to you. My Life will never be the same without you but I know   your with the Lord and will leave in eternal peace. 

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Helen how I remember your infectious laugh and cheerful nature. All those years ago when I was just a kid hanging out with Fern, I remember your famous tamales and the trips to Canyon lake in the back of Mikes truck. Oh and can’t forget that crazy ride I took you on in my sand rail. All the while you were yelling and screaming.  RIP Helen it was an honor to have known you!

I had the honor and privilege to meet and work with Helen in the Radiology Department at the Downtown Baptist Hospital. Although we some how lost touch with each other, I will always treasure Helen's friendship. I'll remember her smile; it was as big as Texas, her laugh, her homemade Menudo and Tamales and her love of pine nuts. 
May you rest in eternal peace, my beautiful Helen.
