Marian Burns, a cherished resident of San Antonio, peacefully reunited with her beloved husband, James, in Heaven on November 1, 2023. Born and raised on picturesque Long Island, New York, she graced this world for 82 years, leaving a legacy of love and kindness.
Marian was not just a devoted wife and mother; she was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. Her love knew no bounds and her generosity extended to both people and animals.Surviving Marian are her two loving daughters, Janice Gatt and Jamie Guajardo, and her adored grandson, Edward. She is also survived by her sons-in-law, Rob Gatt and Trey Guajardo, who became treasured members of her loving family. Additionally, Marian is survived by her brother, Raymond Guth, sister, Carol Guth, and nieces & nephews.
Marian had an insatiable curiosity and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, reminding us that learning is a lifelong journey. Her creative talents, including sewing and crafting gifts like quilts, dolls, and stuffed animals, were a testament to her deep affection for others.
Marian will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will forever light our path, inspiring us all to be more compassionate and giving.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
