

Marian was born October 15, 1922 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert William Wieting of Cuero, Texas. She attended several schools in Texas before graduating from High School in Palestine, Texas. Marian then attended Sam Houston State College in 1941.
In November 1942, Marian married Charles L. Walker in Bremerton, Washington. After WWII, the family made their home in Denison and Sherman, Texas with their two children. In March 1953 they moved to Paris, Texas and spent the next 50 years where she was active in the First Methodist Church, President of the PTA and extensively involved in numerous civic, school and social activities.
Marian was a master seamstress, loved to garden, play bridge and travel. In 2002, the Walkers moved to San Antonio, TX to be closer to family and have enjoyed the Independence Village Community for the past nine years.
Marian is survived by Charles L. Walker, her beloved husband of 69 years; a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Larry Franklin, of San Antonio; a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Tricia Walker of Neptune Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Kelly and Neil Hardwick, Kristi and Jason Borchardt, Brien Walker and Brent Walker; great-grandchildren, Ryann and Joshua Hardwick, Makenzie, Chandler, and Isabella Borchardt.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 5th at Porter Loring Mortuary North.

Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her family: Larry Franklin, Neil Hardwick, Jason Borchardt, Bob Walker, Brien Walker and Joshua Hardwick; and Honorary Pallbearer: Brent Walker.
Donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Food Bank of Paris, Texas, South Central Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Children's Special Olympics, San Antonio, Texas.
