I got to know Marianna while working on a project that is dear to my heart; the Bihl Haus and Bihl Haus Arts. She saw how beautifully the structure had been preserved and submitted it to the Preservation Society to be recognized. The following year the Bihl Haus won the Conservation award which brought great pride and honor to everyone involved. I think Marianna had an uncanny ability to 'see' what was important and supported deserving projects. When we met at a Bihl Haus Arts opening, her joy and pleasure at the structure were obvious. We will miss her refined appreciation and support. I only wish my wife, Kellen, and I had known her better and longer. Rest well, Marianna Jones. And know you will be missed.

Marianna C. Jones has left our city, of San Antonio, and neighborhood, of Jefferson, after spending many years of advancing preservation and quality of life. Her love for our historic city was second only to her faith and family. I thank God and her family for sharing Marianna with so many of us as she preserved and enhanced memories we all treasure today. Her spirit lives in the places I have learned to appreciate most...Marianna C. Jones left her part of the world a better place.

Marianna will certainly be missed. What a lovely lady. Since I am working in Denton, I visited the cemetery today. It was obviously a private burial-very beautiful. I said a prayer and left. She would have loved the setting and the beautiful day.

I did not know her personally, but she was our libriarian at South San High School. May she be walking hand in hand with Jesus

She was beloved, and will be missed by her many friends.

Knowing that Mrs. Jones was ill, her passing was not a surprise. Her inspiration and good works will live long after we too are gone, but she will never be forgotten. Rest in peace.

East Texas Tourism Association sends their deepest sympathy and condolences. Our prayers are with the family and friends.

It has been a pleasure and a privilege to share so many good times with Marianna during our journeys on the Road of Life. I'll always especially remember her zest for living life to the fullest, thereby adding to the richness and wonderment of life to everyone whose life she touched. The world is truly much better in many ways because our beloved Marianna Jones lived.

Marianna will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

When I think of Marianna, I am grateful for several years of working with her at Randolph HS. I always thought her fingers were magic because she could bring books off those shelves in a heartbeat when we might have looked for hours! 
 Graciousnes and goodness are two traits she embodied so well. Always the encourager, Marianna lived well here---if heaven were not so perfect already, she might be putting it in order, but I know she has heard Jesus say, "Welcome home, and well done, good and faithful servant!"

It was a pleasure to know Marianna.
She was always willing to be of service to any organization to which she belonged. Truly, the good that she did will live on.
As a life member of San Antonio Area Retired Teachers and Texas Retired Teachers Association, we were proud to have her as a member.

I knew Marianna only briefly. I was impressed by her accomplishments and spirit. I trust that she is now in a better place. God Bless her children and their families.

It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to to my sweet, dear friend and mentor, Marianna. She and Nelle Lee Weincek were an inspiration to me as an educator, a conservationist, a Texas woman for 30 years, and I will continue to follow their example with passion, as a lifelong learner and educator, through all that I undertake in my continued journey in this magical, wonderful world of ours. Marianna was a woman of gifted intelligence, high standards and a true Texas LADY as well. I will miss her tremendously....as will we all! .....et lux perpetua, my most gracious friend.
