Marie Proctor Garner

Marie Proctor Garner, born March 14, 1924 died on Monday, April 25, 2011 a mere 3 months after her beloved husband, Taylor.

Marie was a giver, a "Saint" among women; kind, loving, always smiling, saw only the good, a doer, and in all things never sought recognition. She loved unconditionally her family, friends, church, bridge club, and her beloved dog "Scamper".

She belonged to Alamo Heights United Methodist Church for over 50 years- answering the phone, lunch bunch, senior council to mention a few.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Taylor Garner. She is survived by her children: Gay Schweppe, Stan Garner Sue of San Antonio, Linda McCrary Rod of Houston. She leaves five grandchildren, Guy Schweppe and fiancée Leah Popovich, Julie Leal Mike, Brent McCrary, Jennifer Coronado Dan and Shaunna Garner. Marie was a great grandmother to Abigail, Madelyn and Camille Schweppe, James Leal, Lauren McCrary, Mark and Luke Coronado. She is also survived by her brother, John Pozelle Proctor of New Braunfels and many more beloved family and friends.
