Marie N. Harvey

Marie was raised and schooled in Santa Barbara, California and graduated from University of California at Santa Barbara. She began her teaching career in Arvin, California.

Marie met in Bakersfield, California and later married Edward H. Harvey in Hobbs, New Mexico on June 20, 1943 and moved to San Antonio in December of 1949.

She attended Trinity University and received both her Texas Teacher's Certificate and her Deaf Ed. Certificate. She then taught at Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children, Howard Early Childhood Center and for San Antonio ISD.

Marie is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Edward H. Harvey; two daughters: Terri and Cindy; and her four grandchildren and six great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
