Marie Louise Knight, age 79, ascended to heaven on the wings of angels February 19, 2002. The eldest daughter of Herbert Bismark and Maud Evelyn Lind, she was born April 26, 1922 in what was then British Honduras. Educated at St. Hilda's College in Belize, Marie taught kindergarten until her retirement in 1973, the same year that her husband CWO4 Gerald L. Knight, retired from HQ, Fifth U.S. Army after 30 years of military service. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gerry; her two children, Nora Evelyn Carson of Michigan and her husband Douglas, and LTC Max L. Knight U.S. Army Ret. and his wife Gray of San Antonio; grandchildren, Lisa, Andrea, Nicole, Bill, Bob, Max Lee, Bradley, Brian and Sean; great grandchildren, Antonio and Nicholas; 7 of her brothers and sisters, George, Frank, Kitty, Lilly, Jenny, Linda and Juanita. Marie will forever be remembered for her extraordinary beauty, grace, pride, courage, spirituality and love.
