Marie F. Mcconnell

Marie Frances McConnell born on June 19, 1925 in Tahona, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2011 at the age of 85. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, John McConnell, sister Ruth Glidewell and brother William Muriekes. She is survived by her sons Mike McConnell and Mark McConnell, six grandchildren, one great grandson, her sister Mary Hussey and a wonderful extended family that will miss her dearly. Frances was a loving wife, mother and friend to anyone that crossed her path. She loved to cook for everyone, and was known to all of her neighbors as someone who could be counted on to help with any situation. Frances was dearly loved and will be remembered by everyone in her family because of her larger than life personality. Frances pulled no punches, and would say exactly what was on her mind and that is one trait that made her so loveable. Her contributions to this world are too numerous to list, and her spirit will remain with everyone that knew her. Frances never wanted to draw attention to herself, and instead of a formal visitation and funeral service her wishes are for everyone to remember her the way she was. Remember the warmth of her smile and the sound of her laughter. In lieu of flowers, Frances would have preferred a memorial contribution to the Animal Defense League or the charity of your choice. The family would also like to thank everyone at Vitas Hospice for making Frances' final days comfortable.
