Marilyn (Stapper) Cummings, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, entered rest on December 11, 2012 at the age of 88. She was born August 23, 1924 in Schertz, TX to Emil and Thelka (Weyel) Stapper. Marilyn was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband of 60 years, William H. Cummings, Jr. She is survived by her son, William H. Cummings, III, and his wife BJ; daughter, Marti Nordstrom and her husband David; grandchildren, Jennifer Cummings, Christy Gillespie and husband Tom, Jere Simpson, Kyle Thomas and wife Kelli, and Paul Nordstrom; great grandchildren, Connor and Brayden Gillespie and Abby Thomas; sister, Joanne Boeck and husband Jimmie. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A small graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 1:00pm at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum 5000.
