Marilyn Elaine Hodgson

Marilyn Elaine Hodgson, age 88, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Batavia, New York on November 23, 1933, to Herbert Sweringen and Selma Bloch. After graduating from Hornell High School, she graduated from Stormont Vail Nursing School. She was married Earl E. Hodgson Jr. on September 11, 1954. Elaine worked as a nurse while her husband finished his law degree. Elaine was able to travel the world alongside her family during her husband’s service in the Air Force. She was a long-term member of Coker United Methodist in San Antonio. She was preceded in death by, her husband of 67 years, Earl E. Hodgson Jr. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Trevino; grandchildren, Nicole Thompson of Frackville, Pennsylvania, Samantha Trevino of San Antonio, Texas, Nathaniel Trevino of Moore, Texas; and great-granddaughter Gabrielle Rodiles of Frackville, Pennsylvania.

Pastor Damon Relder will officiate. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
