She graduated from Northwestern University and earned a Law Degree from Loloya University, Chicago.
Marilyn, proudly, was one of the first women to argue a case in front of the Illinois Supreme Court. She worked with the Illinois Cook County District Attorney's Office until she moved to San Antonio in 1977.
An active part of Homearama, Inc., a company which was started by Marilyn and her husband, she handled the taxes and bookkeeping for 30 years.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Julian Israel; daughter, Jennifer Israel; sisters, Faye Ward and Eleanor Grigg.
