Marilyn S. Martin

Marilyn S. Martin, age 76, devoted wife and loving grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to parents Donald J. and Loretta Rushlau. Marilyn resided in San Antonio since 1974 where she and her family were founding members of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles H. Martin. Marilyn is survived by her son, Laurence C. Martin and wife, Janie; her daughters, Diane S. Barksdale and husband, Charles, Michelle M. Arroyo and husband, Carlos; grandchildren Colin Barksdale, Ryan Barksdale and wife, Ash, Matthew Martin, Catherine Martin, Victoria Martin, Kendall Arroyo and Ethan Arroyo; great-grandson, Leander Barksdale; her brother, Dennis Rushlau and wife, Anita; her sister, Janice Ansley and husband, Robert; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
