Marina V. DeLeon, age 76, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2008. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Daria Valdez; her beloved husband, Joe A. DeLeon; and her siblings: Eustolia Ortegon, Rita Pecina, Thomas Valdez and Benny Valdez. For 25 years, Marina was a loyal and dedicated employee of the Harlandale Independent School District. She earned a much deserved retirement in 1994, and there after dedicated her remaining years to her precious grandchildren. Survived by two daughters; JoAnn Hernandez and husband, Eliseo; Betty Rodriguez and husband, Stephen; grandchildren: Matthew, Elizabeth and Michael Hernandez; Stephanie Hernandez and husband, Richard; Stephan Rodriguez; and one great grandson, Dominic Hernandez; sisters: Cecilia Ortegon and Antonia Garcia; brothers: Jesse Valdez and Santiago Valdez. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 18th from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Porter Loring.
