

Beloved musician and father
Mario Alberto Sauceda, 76, was called home to be with the Lord on Sept. 20, at his home in San Antonio, TX. with his family by his side. Mario was born Jan.22, 1938 in Redwood, TX. to Mariano Sauceda and Guadalupe Garza. Mario served proudly in the United States Army several years as a supply specialist & was honorably discharged after his time of service and shortly thereafter obtained his CDL license and was employed with Roddis Lumber for approximately 20yrs. Mario was a sports fan and enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys. Music was his first love he lived to write, produce, and perform Conjunto (La Musica).On September 1, 1976 he married Norma Barajas in San Antonio, TX.
Mario is Survived by his sons Sunny (Vicki) Sauceda and Martin Torres his six daughters Anna Maria (Willie) Villarreal, Rosario (Lupe) Solis , Marisa (Isaac)Jimenez, Julie Ann (Raymond )Naef, Maricela (Douglas) Marsh, and Rosanna (Carlos) Figueroa. Mario also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of friends that will miss his wisdom, whit, and humor that was infectious as he entered the room.
Visitation will begin Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Road. A procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:30 am for a 10:00 am Mass at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1918 Palo Alto Road.
