

February 23, 2017 Marion “Butch” Elmo Baird entered eternal life at the age of 60, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born May 29, 1956, in Victoria, Texas to Oneta (Arty) and Marion Baird. Butch graduated from Churchill High School in San Antonio and attended St. Phillips College.
Butch had a longtime career with State Farm Insurance as a claims adjuster. He worked with much integrity, & diligence, to insure customer satisfaction. He had such determination, & courage throughout his journey. Exceeding all our expectations and the finest man each of us knew.
Butch is survived by the love of his life, Tammy Baird; his children in Christ Troy Hickman & Amber Catlin, three step grandchildren, his mother in Christ Gloria Clark, father in Christ Kenneth E. McCarrell Jr., brother in Christ Kenneth McCarrell, Shane & Amanda McCarrell, Nephew Damon DiBari, six cousins, John R. Bartee, James F. Bartee, Douglas Page Bartee, Janita K. Bartee, Dr. Russ Bartee, Terry M. Bartee, extended family, & a host of dear friends.
Predeceased by Grandparents Obed E. & Lena Baird, parents Oneta (Arty) and Marion Baird, Aunt Dora Belle Baird, James M. Brown and Flo Jean Brown.
Butch was blessed with a (phrase it his way) sense of humor; he was a Hotrod and Classic Car enthusiast. A lifelong member of The San Antonio Gear Grinders, Family & friends always enjoyed his company as his kind-hearted nature always made people around him smile and laugh.
Celebration of Life will be held at Cross Mountain Church at 24891 Boerne Stage Rd., at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 3, 2017, and then continue at Soda Pop’s in Boerne, Texas.
