She had no living family.
She graduated from the University of Iowa and was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority.
After retirement from Mid Texas Telephone Company, she volunteered her time three days a week teaching English to Hispanics at the Learning Center of Woodlawn Methodist Church.
She was a long time member of the Tuesday Musical Club and served as treasurer several terms.
She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church.
