Marion Varie Durkee Johnson was born in Rusk County, Henderson, Texas August 18, 1930 the seventh daughter and eighth child of James Adolphus and Roger Dixon Durkee. Marion joined Antioch Baptist Church, Henderson, Texas in 1942 and became a dedicated member of Second Baptist Church, San Antonio, Texas in 1947. Marion and Louis Danby Johnson, Jr, D.D.S. were married September 5, 1953. They were parents of two children: Durkee Paul Johnson, M.D. and Ann Mari Johnson and the grandparents of Blythe Ann Johnson. Her husband, parents, six sisters, brother and niece preceded her in death. She is survived by her two children: Durkee Paul Johnson, M.D. and wife Sharalyn King Johnson and Ann Mari Johnson, granddaughter, Blythe Ann Johnson and sister, Shirley Durkee Logan.
