Marissa Lee Luna

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marissa Lee Luna, who departed this life on June 7, 2025, at the age of 39 in San Antonio, TX. Marissa was a cherished daughter, mother, sister, fiancé, aunt, cousin, and niece, a pillar of strength, kindness, and inspiration to all who knew her.

Born on August 6, 1985, in San Antonio, Texas, Marissa spent her life exemplifying her passion for cosmetology, creativity, and art, as well as hard work and a love for her family. Among her proudest accomplishments were her children and her ability to transform someone’s physical appearance with the touch of her hands and her artistic vision, which left an indelible mark on those around her. Her friendly and outgoing personality, accompanied by a contagious smile, could change a person’s outlook for the entire day.

Marissa is survived by her parents, Luis and Grace Luna; her brother and sister-in-law, Luis Jr. and Jessica; her fiancé, Jarryd Gilbreath; and her three children, Anjelina, Dominick, and Genesis. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and in the countless lives she touched every day.

The family invites friends and relatives to join them at the visitation for Marissa, which will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A rosary will occur at 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 1:00 PM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4411 Moana Drive, San Antonio, TX 78218, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218.
