

Marjorie Allison Davis passed away on November 6, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas just two weeks short of her 86th birthday. She was born on November 20, 1923 in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia to George and Mary Clark. Marge met and married her beloved husband, Roy Preston Davis while he served in the U. S. Army during World War II, and moved to America in 1946. After living in Corpus Christi and Kerrville, Texas, the Davis family moved to San Antonio in 1959. Marjorie and her husband enjoyed traveling around the world, especially Australia, and visiting numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Roy, beloved granddaughter, Carley Marie Davis, and six siblings. Marge is survived by her three children, Preston Clark Davis (Judy), Sandra Mary Miner (Lucky), and John Clark Davis (Julie); six grandchildren, Casie Schlereth, Corie Grange, Kristen Boutwell, Amy Iacono, Jason Davis, and Brandon Davis; and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear sister Betty Sedgwick of Sydney, Australia and numerous cherished nephews, nieces, and other relatives. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all. The family would like to recognize and thank the dedicated and caring staff at New Forest Estates Assisted Care for their loving care shown to our mother over the last few months. We would also like to offer our deepest appreciation to A-Med Hospice, in particular Nurse Deidre Fontenot for her compassionate care. The funeral service will be on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on Austin Highway with graveside services to follow.
