She was born in Richardson, Texas in 1921, daughter of Charles and Irene Rouse.
For 67 years, she was married to Weldon Williams. She and Weldon accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior on Christmas morning in 2006 when Ron, Lynne and Brandon presented the gospel invitation to them.
As life-long residents of Highland Park, she and Weldon lived in the same house from the time they married until they moved to San Antonio to be closer to their family in 2009.
She was lovingly called, "DG" (short for Dallas Grandmother) by David and Brandon, who were the delight of her life. She was a collector of antiques and received great joy and pleasure in helping friends decorate their homes.
She loved people and was a very good cook. During the four years she resided in San Antonio, she quickly made many wonderful friends here.
Her grandparents had a family ranch in Encinal, Texas and she shared many fond memories of the ranch house with her grandparents and cousins when she would visit from the big city.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Weldon Williams and is survived by her loving son, Ronald and wife Lynne; grandson Brandon and wife Jordan; and step-grandson David Watson and wife Kate and their four children.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Marjorie's caregiver Diana Scruggs and to the staff at the Forum for making her last seven months as comfortable as possible.
