

Mark William Andrews passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2008, in Granbury, Texas. Mark was born in Houston, Texas on November 20, 1951. His family later moved to Roswell, New Mexico, where Mark graduated from Goddard High School in 1969. After graduating from New Mexico Military Institute, Mark earned a business degree from the University of Texas in Austin, and his law degree from the South Texas School of Law in Houston. Mark made a career as an attorney in the oil & gas industry in Houston, San Antonio, and Granbury. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Albert Lee Andrews, Jr.; his beloved nephew, Andrew Whitley, and his best friend and constant companion, Rusty Dog the flying Brittany spaniel. He is survived by his mother, Shannon Andrews of Kerrville, Texas; his brother, Wally Andrews and wife, Bridgette of Buda, Texas; his sister, Karen Whitley and husband, Allen, of San Antonio, Texas, and his sister, Paula Rodgers, her husband, Greg and their children, Elizabeth and Ben of Allen, Texas. Mark had a zest for life some of his passions included cooking, his music, fishing, hunting, playing poker, telling jokes, and high-end cars. But most of all he lived for his friends and the times he spent with them. Mark kept in touch with all his high school friends and loved going back to Roswell to catch up on old times. His favorite places were the Pecos River near Roswell, the Bob Crosby Bridge, Bottomless Lakes, Ruidoso, and the Byrd Level Ranch near Carrizo Springs, Texas. Mark's razor sharp mind, quick wit, and untouchable sense of humor are only a small part of what we will miss. His love, loyalty and friendship can never be replacedhe was and always will be one of a kind. Goodbye dear son, dear brother, Uncle Markie and beloved friend.
