Man....almost 22 years now I've known you and the fam bam. It started as friends than all of us hanging out for Halloween, to playing pakino, me baby sitting Mariah and Joshy, yall having painting picture house parties. You are a very kind and caring man. Always willing to help everyone. I remember you always keeping Popsicles for all the brats your kiddos ,my kiddos and the neighborhood kids on our 2 streets here. They would drive me crazy running around on our streets playing ding dong ditch but here you came always giving them popsicles. We had some good long talks thru the years. Some funny and sad ones but always good talks. You will definitely be missed by alot. R.I.P Mark ride long and hard on that Motorcycle jamming out. Till we meet again. 💚 Steph

Mark,
Your unexpected passing has been so difficult to come to terms with - Even though I've had time to ponder my life without you, I still can't imagine it. In fact, I find it hard to concentrate on everyday responsibilities, because I can't conceal the sadness my heart experiences at any given moment. I will continue to ask God to give us all the strength necessary to endure. As your ceremony draws near, I take comfort knowing I'll soon have the opportunity to honor and celebrate your life with those we both love more than life itself. Mark, I am forever grateful to have known your love, laughter, humility, patience, talents, loyalty, and friendship while God let us borrow you from heaven.
Love,
Your little sister, Tacey

Bubba,
Your departure has left us with a huge void in our hearts! I miss your beating the drum pad and hearing your out of tune singing and the infamous hollar " Tubby get me some ice". I know you said no crying and I hope you can undestand that those words are much easier said than done. If you happen to run into Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell tell them I said "Hell Yeah"! Till we meet again R.I.P. Will love and miss you till my last breath.. Leti/Tubby

Mark,
I remember being 9 yrs old and being at your house playing with Josh. We met because we both collected HotWheels and I remember you coming home, jamming to your Iron Maiden just drumming in the truck. From the days of spending the night and terrorizing the house, to staying up until 2am for Toys R Us shopping you took me in as a son until I left in 2011. I always looked to you and the family as my own. Always have and always will. The funniest thing was when you used to talk about your wrestling days and your special move, the "banana split" which was the funniest. You were the coolest dad ever and I thank you for all the memories. I will never forget what you did for me as a kid and especially how you raised Mariah and Josh, and took care of Letty (my momma #2). They are my brother, sister and momma for life. I hope that your drumming your heart out up there, putting everyone in your signature move and are looking down on all of us. I love you as a dad. Gonna be truly missed, love ya Mark

The first time I met Mark was a genuine pleasure. He loved life and always had a smile with a story to tell. Just like all the Derby men, a good friend and a loving father. RIP Mark! And to this sweet family, please take joy in his memory.
