Had a very challenging work week recently. I have left ICON but funny at my new place your experience and guidance is still sought in my mind. Miss you, work twin

Mark, even after 2 years of you leaving us, it is still very hard to not miss you everyday. I miss you everyday in many things I do. I miss you calling me "champ" , your sense of humor over the little things everyday. There is no one else like you Mark.

Mark was on my mind today so I thought I would look him up on the Internet. I can't comprehend that he is gone. I know this is late but I did not hear of his passing. His sense of humor was supreme as was his intelligence and spirit. With love to his Mother and family. Scott Jacobson

Dear Lenore and family: 
We have often thought of Mark and wondered what amazing things he must be doing as he left Yuma, went to college, married, chose a career, etc... What a singularly remarkable young man he was. To this day I can remember that voice and great energetic spirit--booming out over the pool--helping those youngsters learn how to swim and be good human beings. 
We were so impressed with Mark that we hired him to teach our children the finer pointss of the swimming strokes. I never knew how he did all he did--out in the blazing Yuma sun--but he was always wheres he'd say he'd be and ready to tackle anything we asked of him--We look back on that time in Yuma as really special and thank Mark for helping us raise our kids and improve their strokes at the same time. 
When we read where he lived and what he was doing our hearts hurt. We, too, live in San Antonio, Texas. We were working for the church back East and Brian had a heart attack and we have been in San Antonio, living next to our daughter, Mandi, and her family since January 2009. What a missed opportunity that was! We would have loved to have connected with Mark again and Mandi's little kids are good swimmer, too! 
Our prayers go out to you--the family members--our hearts are with you at this difficult time. But although we haven't seen Mark in many years, we heartily agree with the final phrase of his tribute--We know for certain he packed alot of living in the years he was here--our love and prayers--Brian and Jeanine Smith and family

Mark, We were great friends in college. Running, swimming, and going out to play pool, most of the time. Even though we haven't kept in touch you will be missed. You were my best friend for some time. Matt Larkin

Extremely sorry and sad to hear this. I was fortunate to have known from elementary school through high school, and can only say that he was a great person, a great athlete, and a very sincere friend. I regretfully have lost touch with most of my high school friends, but will never forget Mark's great friendship. Rest in Peace Mark, you will be missed. Regrets: Thinking (in Mrs. Hollands english class) that he was too academically smart to be a good wrestler. Soon after stating that I was eating my knee in a wresting move his father had taught him. Kept my mouth shut after that.

There are a lot of words we can use to describe Mark- intelligent, charismatic, brash, curmudgeonly, more than a little neurotic... We will miss you, Mark, every day. Thank you for your sense of humor, your outlook on life, your professional knowledge, and your way of getting down to what was really important even in the most complicated situation. I will miss hearing "fair enough" daily. I will miss knowing that you always "have my back". And I will miss pushing your buttons. I'll never be able to give another person the nickname of "Fluffy". We miss you, Champ.

I wanted to send my condolences to Mark's family. I was part of the hiring process for Mark at ICON and I was saddened when I heard the news about his accident. God Bless, Matt Todt

Mark, 
 You were a well respected colleague whom became a dear friend. We shared many challenges (with clients) and dealt with them as a team with a lot of laughter (along with a few "Amens" and "Fair Enoughs"). You were a great support to my family when faced with our personal encounters with cancer. I just can't believe it's you who left in 6 months time.. I just keep thinking you left to move on to a bigger job. (without saying goodbye, so I still expect a call someday) 
The thought of you will always make me want to make the most out of life, (except for right after vacations and Mondays) understanding that nothing is perfect, and that balance between family (including the dogs) and work must be achieved (in that order!) 
I will remember you and smile! Especially when I hear an Elvis Costello or Police song and remember we realized were to old for concerts or parking lots that big! :) 
I miss my dear friend.

To Grace and Mark's family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Mark and was deeply sadden by the news of his accident. He will definitely be missed by all who knew him. Never have I met someone with such a zest for life. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Grace - I was very, very sorry to hear the news about Mark. I wish it wasn't true and I know he will be missed by many people. I also know that Mark was lucky to have had the time that he did with you. Grace, you are a wonderful person and I wish you the absolute best.

I was employed at ICON Clinical Research very briefly in 2007. 
As the Director and my immediate supervisor, Mark was fun, 
smart, and a joy to be around. I'm sure he will be missed by many.

Mark was so much fun growing up in Yuma. To his parents, wife and sister, you are in my thoughts.
