Marsha Rose Buckles

Marsha Rose “Marty” Buckles, 75, of Johns Creek, Georgia, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Emory Johns Creek Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Celebration of Life services for Marty will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike McCullar officiating. The family will welcome friends prior from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel. Funeral services for Marty will also be held in San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The family will gather one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, San Antonio, Texas. 



Marty was born July 1, 1947, in Shiloh Township, Illinois, to the late Adrian and Allyne Lillian Zigrang; also preceding Marty in death was her sister, Gayle Murray. 

Marty was of the Episcopalian faith. She enjoyed putting together puzzles and reading magazines. She was a social butterfly and never met a stranger. She was a loving and giving woman and believed in helping people all that she could. She knew how to understand people and was an incredible listener. She loved to travel. Marty had a great love for animals, especially dogs and cats.

Marty is survived by the love of her life of 57 years, Lawrence “Larry” Buckles; brother, Kenneth Zigrang; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lori and Mark Horstmann, and Linda and Glen Brashear; a host of nieces and nephews, Donna, Patti, Allen, Anna, Brian, Sarah, Jackie Bo and Dallas, Brian and Jennifer; well as a host of extended family and dear friends.
