Martha Coronado

Martha Coronado, age 55, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. Martha was born April 30, 1965 in Pearsall, Texas to Elena Vinton and Jesse Elizondo. A graduate of Harlandale High School, Martha was attending San Antonio Community College and was majoring in business. She was heavily involved in several community outreach programs such as backpack for kids and Christmas trees for Meals on Wheels. Martha also enjoyed fund raising to provide money for causes in need including the Christus Santa Rosa Breast Cancer Foundation. She had served as treasurer for the local chapter of the AT&T Pioneers and helped organize volunteer days at The Guide Dogs of Texas, The Texas Diaper Bank, Christmas stockings for St. P.J’s Children’s Home, and many other programs. Martha enjoyed and cherished serving her Lord Jesus in the children’s ministry at church, and opened her home to host bible studies. Whether it was a friend or a perfect stranger, she spoke and shared God’s word with compassion and love. Martha worked as a Senior Consultant for AT&T and retired July 2, 2020 with 20 years of admirable service.

Martha was proceeded in death by her father, Jesse Elizondo. She is survived by her husband, Jose A. Coronado; daughters, Stephanie Ruhd and Genevieve Guerrero; son, Alfred Rivas; stepsons, Antonio and Patrick Coronado; mother, Elena Sanchez; and five wonderful grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2020, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
