Martha Garcia Garza was born in Moore, TX on March 10, 1930, and passed away peacefully in San Antonio, TX on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the age of 95. She lived a life filled with family, friends, adventure, and dedication.

As the wife of Frank O. Garza, a U.S. Air Force veteran, Martha traveled the world, living in Spain, Bermuda, and various places across the United States. She embraced each new experience with curiosity and adaptability, always making the most of the opportunities that came her way.

Martha had a long and successful career with Avon Products, where she built strong relationships and took pride in her work. She was dependable, hardworking, and well-respected by those who knew her. Martha will be forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto & Maria (Perez) Garcia & her sisters, Minerva “Minnie” Muzquiz and Rosa “Rosie” Alvarado and her brothers David and Ralph Garcia. Surviving is her brother, Ernest Garcia (Christine) and her children, Yolanda Dye, Anthony Garza, John Garza (Socorro Caanen), Edward Garza (Karla); grandchildren, Eric Berns (Christa) and Jennifer Mosier (Carl), Eric, Anthony, Maria and Richard Garza.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel (Austin Hwy.) with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at St. Helena Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. and reception at Sunset Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Due to the floral restrictions at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, donations may be made to St. Peter-St. Joseph Children’s Home by going to www.stpjhome.org in memory of Martha’s mother, Maria.
