Martha Beatriz Mendez

Martha Beatriz Méndez, 66, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on June 16, 2026. She was born on January 18, 1960, in El Refugio, Ciudad Fernández, San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Martha lived a life defined by generosity, resilience, and a love that radiated through everything she did.

Martha cherished every opportunity to visit her siblings in Mexico. Those trips brought her comfort, joy, and a sense of home, and she was always planning the next visit before the last one had even ended. She was truly one of a kind. Her smile and genuine laughter could brighten any room, and her instinct to care for others made everyone around her feel welcomed and loved. She found joy in cooking, preparing comfort food that brought her family together and made every gathering feel special.

A dedicated and hardworking woman throughout her life, Martha gave her all to everything she did until health challenges forced her into retirement. Even then, her strength, spirit, and unwavering love for her family never faded.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but the memories she created and the lessons she instilled will continue to live on through her family.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Roberto Méndez and Catalina Morales, and her sister, Herminia Méndez Morales.

She is survived by her loving husband, Raul Martinez Salas; her children, Zoraida Martinez, Raul Martinez Jr. and his wife Alba, and Beatriz Barajas and her husband Marcos; and her grandchildren, Alex Marquez, Robert Martinez, Catalina Martinez, and Raul Martinez III. She is also survived by her siblings, Bruno Méndez Morales, José Salomón Méndez Morales, Alicia Méndez Morales, Margarita Méndez Morales, and Gloria Méndez Morales, along with numerous extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Martha’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her presence will be missed, but her spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those she touched.

Martha disfrutaba profundamente visitar a sus hermanos en México cada vez que tenía la oportunidad. Esos viajes le brindaban consuelo, alegría y una sensación de hogar, y al terminar uno, ya estaba planeando el siguiente. Era verdaderamente única. Su sonrisa y su risa genuina podían iluminar cualquier lugar, y su instinto de cuidar a los demás hacía que todos a su alrededor se sintieran bienvenidos y queridos. Encontraba felicidad en cocinar, preparando siempre comida reconfortante que unía a su familia y hacía que cada reunión fuera especial.

A lo largo de su vida, Martha fue una mujer dedicada y trabajadora, entregándose por completo a todo lo que hacía hasta que los desafíos de salud la obligaron a retirarse. Aun así, su fortaleza, su espíritu y su amor inquebrantable por su familia nunca desvanecieron.

Será profundamente extrañada por todos quienes la conocieron, pero los recuerdos que dejó y las enseñanzas que compartió seguirán viviendo en su familia.

Martha fue precedida en muerte por sus padres, Roberto Méndez y Catalina Morales, y por su hermana, Herminia Méndez Morales.

Le sobreviven su amado esposo, Raul Martinez Salas; sus hijos, Zoraida Martinez, Raul Martinez Jr. y su esposa Alba, y Beatriz Barajas y su esposo Marcos; así como sus nietos, Alex Marquez, Robert Martinez, Catalina Martinez y Raul Martinez III. También le sobreviven sus hermanos, Bruno Méndez Morales, José Salomón Méndez Morales, Alicia Méndez Morales, Margarita Méndez Morales y Gloria Méndez Morales, además de numerosos familiares y amigos que la querían profundamente.
